The first-day checklist is run by MOD before the trainee touches the floor. Allow 60 minutes.
Paperwork
- [ ] W-2 form
- [ ] I-9 form + ID documents (passport, or driver's license + Social Security card)
- [ ] Direct deposit form
- [ ] Emergency contact info
- [ ] Tip pool agreement (signed)
- [ ] Confidentiality / IP agreement signed (covers Pocket Spice and supplier credentials, both #restricted-ops)
- [ ] Handbook receipt signed (acknowledges they received and will read the handbook)
- [ ] Lancey-issued shirt or top (size confirmed)
- [ ] Name tag (if assigned)
- [ ] Apron (if applicable)
- [ ] Cleaning protocol explained (laundered fresh every shift — see uniform standards)
Locker / personal storage
- [ ] Locker assigned (or coat hook)
- [ ] Combination / key issued
- [ ] Phone storage explained (see cell phone storage)
Building tour
- [ ] FOH: front bar, back room, yakitori counter, host stand
- [ ] BOH: kitchen, walk-ins, dry storage, prep area
- [ ] Restrooms
- [ ] Exits (fire safety)
- [ ] Pill freezer location
- [ ] Coat closet
- [ ] Smoking-break location (off-property, see no smoking on property)
Systems setup
- [ ] Toast PIN issued
- [ ] SevenRooms access (if FOH host)
- [ ] Knowledge base access: workshop.jlittrell.com/t/lancey
- [ ] Slack / group chat invitation
- [ ] Schedule access (HotSchedules or equivalent)
Introductions
- [ ] MOD introduction
- [ ] GM introduction (if on-site)
