Equipment: Pill Freezer Protocol

The upright freezer that holds Pill program vessels.

Specs

27-inch wide upright freezer with built-in speed rack interior. Holds 30+ pill vessels and 6+ bottles of pre-batched cocktail.

Daily protocol

Opening:

  1. Confirm freezer temp: -10°F to 0°F.
  2. Inventory pill vessels: minimum 8 ready at all times.
  3. Check pre-batched cocktails for clarity and labeling.

During service:

  1. Pull vessel when order fires. Replace cap loosely.
  2. Pour pre-batched cocktail into vessel at the bar.
  3. Deliver to table. Vessel returns to wash station after service.

Closing:

  1. Wipe out frost. Restock from clean inventory.
  2. Confirm freezer reaches -10°F overnight.

Vessel handling

  • Never touch the inside of a vessel with bare hands (oils degrade the frost effect).
  • Wash by hand with mild detergent. Do not run through the dishwasher.
  • Store with cap loose to allow even temperature.

If a vessel breaks

Cost: ~$80. Log breakage with the MOD. No staff cost unless willful negligence.
