Soigné marks come from the SevenRooms profile. When a VIP profile is flagged, the host triggers the VIP handoff (see sop-service-vip-handoff). Common soigné notes: 'industry friend,' 'press,' 'investor,' 'first date — make it special,' 'birthday — no candle.' Read the note BEFORE the guest arrives. The mark dictates the touch — never apply VIP treatment to a 'no candle' guest. Misreading the mark is worse than missing it.
