The zones
- Front bar — moderate volume, conversation-friendly, jazz-leaning early, hip-hop-instrumental late.
- Back bar — slightly louder, more upbeat.
- Banquette area — quieter, more intimate.
- Game room — louder, fun-energy, varies with crowd.
- Patio (general) — outdoor friendly, mid-tempo.
- Patio (greenhouse) — quieter, more lounge.
- Espresso bar nook — quiet, instrumental.
- Restrooms — low, ambient.
Decibel targets
- Conversation zones: 65-72 dB
- Energy zones: 72-80 dB
- Outdoor: 65-75 dB (noise ordinance compliance)
Calibration
- Each zone has its own playlist, curated by the GM and refreshed monthly.
- Calibration is done quarterly with a dB meter.
- Music transitions at 9pm to energy-up, at 11pm to late-night.
After 10pm on the patio
Patio music caps at 65 dB. Neighborhood compliance is non-negotiable. See Patio service ends 10pm (stub).
