Add lime wedges and sugar to a rocks glass. Muddle to release juice and oils ā firm but not aggressive. Add cachaƧa. Fill the glass with crushed or cracked ice. Stir to integrate.
Brazil's national cocktail. Originated in SĆ£o Paulo, ~1918, possibly as a flu remedy. The name means "little countryside drink." CachaƧa is sugar-cane spirit, distinct from rum.
