Cold brew concentrate

Yield: 500 mL concentrate
Use: The Understory (NA Espresso)

Ingredients:

  • 100g coarse-ground coffee (medium-dark roast)
  • 500 mL cold filtered water

Method:

  1. Combine in a sealed container. Stir to fully saturate grounds.
  2. Steep 16 hours in the walk-in cooler.
  3. Strain twice — first through a fine sieve, then through cheesecloth or a coffee filter.
  4. Bottle, label, date.

Shelf life: 7 days refrigerated.

Cost: ~$3 per 500 mL.
