Pre-shift is at 5pm sharp. Late by 5 minutes = you missed it. You're then responsible for catching up by asking three different team members what was covered. Repeat misses trigger a coaching conversation. Pre-shift is the most efficient communication channel — skipping it makes the rest of the shift harder for everyone.
