Use elevated language

Never use slang, profanity, or overly casual language with guests.

Replace these:

  • "No problem" → "My pleasure" / "Of course" / "Absolutely"
  • "What's up" / "How's it going" → "Welcome" / "Good to see you" / "Hello"
  • "Yeah" → "Yes" / "Of course"

Why

The room is elevated. Casual language drops the temperature instantly. One "no worries" tells a guest they're at a sports bar, not at The Lancey.

This is not about formality. It's about precision. We choose our words.
