The Lancey has a quiet-by-default press posture.
Photos
- Guests can take photos of their own food and drinks.
- Guests cannot take photos that include other guests' faces or visible identifying details.
- Professional cameras, lighting rigs, or extensive setups require GM approval in advance.
Press inquiries
- All press inquiries route to the GM. Staff does not comment on the record.
- If a journalist arrives unannounced: greet warmly, seat them as any other guest, alert the GM, do not mention to other staff.
Staff is welcome to post about working at The Lancey. The rules:
- No photos of guests, ever.
- No photos of comp slips, invoices, or financial info.
- No identifying VIPs by name or face.
- No leaking menu items not yet on the public menu.
If a guest asks about a celebrity sighting
"I can't confirm guest visits. Welcome to The Lancey — what can I get you?"
