The Pill: Martini

Large-format gin (or vodka) martini in the pill vessel. Service for 4 to 6.

Spec (4-person batch)

  • 12oz gin (or vodka) — guest's choice
  • 4oz Dolin Dry vermouth
  • 2oz house olive brine (for dirty option, +2oz)
  • 8oz filtered water (for dilution)

Build

Pre-batch the spirit + vermouth + water in advance. Hold in the freezer.
At service: pour batch into chilled pill vessel. Cap. Deliver.

Garnish vessel

Skewered olives (3 per guest), lemon peels, optional onion picks. Served on crushed ice.

Service note

Table-side pour by the bartender for the first round. Subsequent rounds: guests pour for themselves. Vessel stays on the table.

Tasting notes

Cold. Dry. Long. A textbook martini at four times the impact.
