EcoLab provides service for any chemical-related issue. We call them, not Hobart or other equipment vendors, when chemicals are the problem.
When to call
- Sanitizer testing low even after fresh refill
- Chemical reservoirs not dispensing
- Visible leak from any chemical line
- Need a new block / sanitizer concentrate before next weekly visit
- Sanitizer test strip container expired and no replacement on site
- Any chemical safety incident (spill, splash, exposure)

- Account number: [on the sticker by the dishwasher]
- Equipment affected (glasswasher, dishwasher, 3-comp sink)
- Description of issue
- Urgency level
Standard response time
- Routine (refill, no production impact): next scheduled visit (within a week)
- Urgent (machine down, concentration failing): same day, often within 4 hours
- Emergency (chemical spill, exposure): immediate
During the service call
- [ ] Stay with the tech, walk through the issue
- [ ] Tech logs visit on the service sheet (kept by the dishwasher)
- [ ] Sign the service ticket
- [ ] Get a copy for the daily ops binder
Document
Every service call goes in the daily ops binder with:
- Date and time of call
- Tech name
- Issue and resolution
- Cost (if billable above the standard contract)
- Signed service ticket attached
