EcoLab provides service for any chemical-related issue. We call them, not Hobart or other equipment vendors, when chemicals are the problem.

When to call

  • Sanitizer testing low even after fresh refill
  • Chemical reservoirs not dispensing
  • Visible leak from any chemical line
  • Need a new block / sanitizer concentrate before next weekly visit
  • Sanitizer test strip container expired and no replacement on site
  • Any chemical safety incident (spill, splash, exposure)

Tell them:

  • Account name: The Lancey NYC
  • Account number: [on the sticker by the dishwasher]
  • Equipment affected (glasswasher, dishwasher, 3-comp sink)
  • Description of issue
  • Urgency level

Standard response time

  • Routine (refill, no production impact): next scheduled visit (within a week)
  • Urgent (machine down, concentration failing): same day, often within 4 hours
  • Emergency (chemical spill, exposure): immediate

During the service call

  • [ ] Stay with the tech, walk through the issue
  • [ ] Tech logs visit on the service sheet (kept by the dishwasher)
  • [ ] Sign the service ticket
  • [ ] Get a copy for the daily ops binder

Document

Every service call goes in the daily ops binder with:

  • Date and time of call
  • Tech name
  • Issue and resolution
  • Cost (if billable above the standard contract)
  • Signed service ticket attached
