Simple syrup (1:1)

Yield: ~1 quart
Use: Whiskey Sour, French 75, Bramble, Pisco Sour, anywhere "simple syrup" is called

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz white sugar
  • 16 oz water

Method:

  1. Combine in a container. Shake or stir vigorously until sugar dissolves. No heat required for 1:1.
  2. Bottle, label, date, refrigerate.
  3. Holds 30 days refrigerated.

Cost: ~$2 per quart. Yields ~64 cocktail uses at 0.5 oz pour.
