Yield: ~1 quart
Use: Old Fashioned, Sazerac, Mai Tai, Jungle Bird, Espresso Martini batch, any drink calling for rich syrup
Ingredients:
- 24 oz Demerara sugar
- 12 oz water
Method:
- Combine in a saucepan. Heat over medium until sugar dissolves completely. Do not boil aggressively.
- Cool to room temperature.
- Bottle, label, date, refrigerate.
- Holds 30 days refrigerated.
Cost: ~$5 per quart. Yields ~64 cocktail uses at 0.25 oz pour.
